Marques Brownlee Camera For VloggingCarmine Mastropierro
If you’ve ever searched for anything related to tech on Youtube, you probably came across Marques Brownlee’s channel once or twice. With 4.8 million subscribers, Marques creates tech review videos on anything from phones, cameras, and even new Tesla vehicles. His videos boast an incredible quality that you can have too if you’re interested in creating content.
Outside of Youtube, he grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey where he attended Columbia high school and later Stevens Institute of Technology. It shouldn’t be a surprise that he drives the Tesla Sp100D which you see on his channel on occasion. He loves playing golf and is a part of the professional ultimate frisbee league Philadelphia Spinners.
Marques joined Youtube in March of 2008 and started uploading a year later in January of 2009. He would create content around new products and reviews of products he already had his hands on. These videos were known as screencasts in which they displayed images and we just spoke over them. Since he reviewed lots of hardware and freeware at the time, companies began approaching him to do overviews of their software and products.
Marques agreed but to only review things that he knew his audience would enjoy. On top of this, he has always been one of the most in-depth Youtubers when it comes to this category. He speaks on every little feature, bug, pro, con, and assures his viewers understand everything. If you ever see that a new tech related product like latest iPhone is being released, odds are the day after Marques will already have a video uploaded about it. Stay tuned to his channel if you need any updates and reviews because you seriously won’t regret it.
Brownlee has seen tons of more success outside of Youtube, including landing an interview with Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside. The popular review site Engadget promoted his channel in 2012 when Marques reviewed the cloud storage service Insync. In 2013 when he made a video to show off the self-healing ability of the LG G Flex phone, it hit 1 million views that same day.
For any Youtuber, vlogger, or content creator, Mr. Brownlee is a serious inspiration. Do you enjoy creating videos? If so, these are the cameras he uses himself that you can use too to step up your production.
