Alienware Aurora R5 Review

Alienware Aurora R5 Review

The Alienware Aurora R5 gaming desktop computer is one of the best in its price range. It features liquid cooling, dual-graphics, thermal ergonomics, and a perfected design. It’s a desktop made for those that take gaming seriously and need a rig that will play games on the highest settings with ease. Here’s what you need to know about the Aurora R5.

The Review

With the AlienFX software, you can give your machine a personalized look with over 8000 unique themes. Supported on over 130 titles, lighting zones can be customized to react to things like in game actions, powering on and off, and notifications by pulsing, morphing or simply holding a solid color. Once you’ve finished your theme, you can save and upload it to where you can share your custom creation with others and download any you find. And for times when you want a little less visual stimulation, AlienFX allows you to Go Dark by disabling all lighting effects until you’re ready to turn them back on.

Ready for VR

With virtual reality developing so quickly you need a machine that can keep up. The Alienware Aurora R5 was engineered to exceed today’s virtual reality requirements. And with convenient tool-less access, it also offers easy upgradeability for the next wave of VR.

With a VR-ready Alienware PC, you can be the first to experience the future of gaming. Alienware provides a range of systems to bring you the most immersive VR experience imaginable. Additionally, the Aurora offers Oculus or HTC Vive virtual reality configurations, for powerful, immersive VR experiences. No matter what VR gear you use, this desktop will have you covered.

If you’re a gamer interested in virtual reality, a high end gaming rig or both, then the R5 is a great investment. It’s a desktop that is powerful, quiet, and boots in seconds. It’s mid sized and weighs approximately 30 pounds so it won’t take up too much space either.
